Sarkander's chapel
Sarkander's chapel is currated by Jan Zdráhal

On the site of the chapel was formerly a town prison and a torture chamber, where St John Sarkander was tortured in 1620. Subsequently in 1672-1673 it was converted into a chapel and in 1703 the chapel was dedicated to the martyrs.

Between 1703-1704 and 1721-1724 a new baroque chapel was built. In 1860 the main portal was replaced and the interior of the chapel was modified. From May 6, 1860, the chapel was named Chapel Bl. Jana Sarkandra. However, in 1909-1912 it was rebuilt in the style of historicizing Romanticism, the architect was Eduard Sochor. It was reconstructed in 1994-1995 and on May 21, 1995, there were canonization celebrations (Jan Sarkander's sainthood).

In the interior there is a preserved original cutter, which is protected in a transparent "showcase". In the alcove of the chapel in the exterior there is the statue of St. John Sarkander, and on the adjacent staircase is the statue of St. John of Nepomuk. Before the chapel is the fountain The spring of living water of St. Jana Sarkandra.
