1974 - DOM with artistic director Karel Dospiva won first place and the title of absolute winner in the national competition of brass orchestras. He again participated in Kmoch's Cologne, visited the Netherlands (the city of Purmerend), where he performed at the Brass Band Festival and also the GDR (the city of Bautzen), where he performed at the 25th anniversary of the founding of the republic.
1975 - An interesting experience was certainly the filming of a fairy tale in a television studio in Ostrava, in which soloists and DOM performed with their conductor. The Ministry of Culture sent the orchestra to the International Festival of Wind and Symphony Orchestras in Great Britain (London, Cardiff).
It is worth mentioning that the orchestra members played on Sir Charles Mackerras. Other events of this year: festival in Zábřeh na Moravě, Uherský Brod, performances in Hradec nad Moravicí etc.
