The orchestra performed greatly in the nationwide brass orchestra competition (this time in Ostrava)

where he brought 1st place and again became the absolute winner of the whole competition. The orchestra's artistic director and conductor Karel Dospiva received a special prize for best conducting performance, as well as an orchestra prize for the most successful interpretation of contemporary composers, and Jaroslav Orlík received the prize for orchestral solo for trumpet. The others include: the gala concert to mark the 15th anniversary of the DOM (almanac was issued), the festival in Zábřeh na Moravě, promenade concerts in Úvalno, Velké Heraltice and Krnov, the opening of the international competition of large brass orchestras "Ostrava 77".
