An interesting experience was certainly the filming of a fairy tale in a television studio in Ostrava, where soloists and DOM performed with their conductor. The Ministry of Culture sent the orchestra to the International Festival of Brass and Symphony Orchestras in Great Britain (London, Cardiff).

It is worth mentioning that the members of the orchestra played under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras. Other events this year include: a festival in Zábřeh na Moravě, in Uherský Brod, performances in Hradec nad Moravicí and others.
