The number of members of the orchestra "climbed" to 70 musicians. In addition to traditional performances and concerts, it is worth mentioning the first place and the title of the absolute winner in the nationwide brass orchestra competition (for the third time). Another prizes were awarded by the jury: conductor Karel Dospiva Prize for Best Conductor Performance, Prize for the performance of the composition by Jakov Raskin "Ajnava" and the Prize for the Performances of Mojmír Zedník (Scherzo) and Evžen Zámečník (Moravian Prelude). In July, the Krnov House was sent by the Ministry of Culture to the GDR, where it successfully represented the “Rostock Summer Festivities 80”.
