Adolf Hitler

was a German Nazi politician of Austrian descent, who from 1933 until his death served as a chancellor and dictator of Nazi Germany.

As the so-called Leader (German Führer), he was responsible for the crimes of the Nazi regime, especially for the murder of Jews, Roma and disabled people.

Aggressive politics at first reached the territorial gains and concessions of other states, but in 1939, by invading Poland, caused the Second World War in which Germany eventually suffered a crushing defeat.

In 1939 Brno was occupied by the German army in the prewar period of the Second World War, which took to Brno on March 15, 1939.

Two days later, March 17, 1939, after signing the decree on the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, Adolf Hitler arrived by a special train to Brno, which stopped at 11:00 at the main station.

After arriving at the station, he went to a car that went with a fair parade around the Land Theater, Kolištěm, around the German House, Lažanské náměstí, Rašínova Street, the Square of Liberty (which for that day was named Adolf Hitler Square, but only for that one day! ) and up the Lock Street to Dominican Square, where he then entered the New Town Hall. Here, from her balcony, he spoke to the people.

Hitler received the oldest copy of the so-called Konšelský súd from 1305 (the basic Germanic law book) from Brno's mayor Oskar Judex, which Hitler subsequently surrendered to the city.
On the occasion of Hitler's visit, the Brno Post issued a special stamp, and Adolf Hitler himself signed a memorandum of the City of Brno on the occasion of a visit and a speech from the town hall.

At 13:30, he headed out of the New Town Hall back to the train station and from there continued to train to Vienna.
