The NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days (NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days) are the largest aviation-security promotion events in Central Europe. Its aim is to present to the general public the widest possible range of means available to the Czech Republic, its NATO allies and other friendly states in the field of security, both international (military) and national. The event takes place every year from 2001 in mid-September. The first two years were held in Ostrava, and since 2003 the event has been held at Leoš Janáček Airport, located near the towns of Studénka and Příbor; Free entry. Originally a rather modestly attended event (initially ~ 15,000 people), after ten years of its existence, it has reached over 220,000 visitors and is thus on the top of the audience's interest in the Czech environment.
Part of NATO Days are discussions, film screenings, seminars and presentations of military and rescue equipment, which are increasing the weekend program at the airport. It consists of a presentation of heavy military, police and rescue equipment, dynamic demonstrations of training of special units, air demonstrations and presentation of equipment, equipment and equipment of the units. It is the wide range of involved components that distinguishes this event from airshows, etc. According to the organizers, it is nowhere else to view the cutting-edge art and technology of not only soldiers, firefighters and police officers, but also customs officers, the prison service, the municipal police and other elite units. Czech and Slovak transatlantic prizes are also awarded to selected personalities on the occasion of this event.
The NATO Days are organized by the Jagello 2000 Association, the Joint Forces Command of the Czech Republic (until 2013, then the ACR), the Fire Rescue Service of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the Regional Police Headquarters of the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Leos Janacek Airport Ostrava.
